The "Consumer Electronics Show (CES)" in Las Vegas, USA, is set to open on January 9th, marking it as the largest international consumer electronics exhibition in the United States. In 2018, Mr. Yeh Ming-Shui, Secretary-General of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), will lead a team including Taiwan Excellence, Computex d&i innovative products, Taiwantrade.com, and the ICT Supply Chain Pavilion to participate in the event, aiming to promote Taiwan's products and create more business opportunities.
CES is held at the beginning of each year and is regarded by many companies as a crucial platform for setting the tone of product cycles for the upcoming year.
This year, TAITRA will lead nearly 70 manufacturers to showcase innovative products. The "Taiwan Excellence Pavilion" will feature newly awarded 2018 Taiwan Excellence recipients, including AI robots, Internet of Things (IoT) devices, drones, and gaming products. Brands such as ASUS, Acer, BenQ, MSI, Thermaltake, Gigabyte, ADATA, Delta, Advantech, FSP, WINFORD, Innodisk, Full Enterprise Corp., and A&D Technology will be among those making appearances.
On January 8th, a day before the official opening, Mr. Yeh Ming-Shui will host the "Innovations on Taiwan ICT Industry" press conference in Las Vegas. This event will showcase highlights of innovative products from Taiwan, including the world's first smart dashboard by Hong Jia-Teng, the EYI-SONG Phoenix UAV by Ewatt Aerospace, the Robelf household robot which won the CES 2018 Innovation Award by LycamTech, the world's first surgical MR head-mounted eyeglasses by SURGLASSES, and the intelligent visual system robot capable of playing word games developed by ITRI.
TAITRA emphasizes that the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA, from January 9th to 12th, aligns with the global trends of IoT and artificial intelligence growth. Domestic manufacturers are continuously pursuing innovation, and TAITRA will continue to assist them in promoting their products in the global market and seeking exposure.
