Taiwan’s smart healthcare advances into Thailand to participate in the ASEAN Medical Devices Exhibition.

In response to the diversified healthcare needs in Thailand and the ASEAN region, as well as the development of medical technology, Changhua Christian Hospital (referred to as Chang Gung) collaborated with the Taipei Computer Association to lead Taiwan's high-quality smart healthcare companies to participate in the "2019 Medical Devices ASEAN Exhibition" held at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Bangkok from the 10th to the 12th, setting up the Taiwan Smart Healthcare Pavilion.

On the first day of the exhibition, Chang Gung, in collaboration with the Federation of Thailand Industry (FTI), held a Taiwan-Thailand medical industry matchmaking event, focusing on Thailand's initiatives such as Thailand 4.0 and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), as well as Taiwan's New Southbound Policy, to share and discuss cooperation directions and opportunities. On the 11th, they hosted the "Innovation & Application of Smart Healthcare in Taiwan" forum at the main stage of the ASEAN Medical Devices Exhibition, attracting over a hundred Thai and other ASEAN medical professionals and medical technology entrepreneurs, with enthusiastic responses.

Dr. Chen Mu-Kuan, President of Changhua Christian Hospital, expressed during the opening speech of the forum that he hopes to create more exchanges and creative sparks between the two countries in the field of smart healthcare through this forum. Attendees were invited to experience featured products such as portable ultrasound devices, smart electronic paper, medical glasses for orthopedic surgery, cloud-based smart rehabilitation systems, and digital otoscopes.

During his speech, Mr. Tong Chen-Yuan, representative of the Representative Office in Thailand, also expressed that Taiwan's New Southbound Policy aims to strengthen connections with Thailand through comprehensive cooperation. The Representative Office in Thailand has established various Line platforms to enhance cooperation in various fields.

Chang Gung pointed out that smart healthcare is a major goal and strategy of Thailand's healthcare policy in the future, and Taiwan is willing to share relevant experiences and promote excellent medical technology and products to Thailand to accelerate Thailand's transformation in smart healthcare.
